Established in Sheffield, but now with multiple sites in the UK and over 5000 employees worldwide, Doncasters Paralloy have come a long way since the 1700s. Now a multi-national group that is a leading international manufacturer of engineered components, this is a company where a slick, quick process and quality offerings are key.
Temporary buildings needed for expansion
One of the sites in the Doncasters Group, based at Teesside, needed to expand and make improvements in workflow and site usage.
Working with Aganto wasn’t an instant choice. A comprehensive analysis of the temporary building market and Aganto’s competitors by the company’s consultant, resulted in Aganto being selected. Consultant and company were both impressed by Aganto’s credentials, expertise, speed, open approach and cost-effectiveness. Being able to look at other Aganto buildings in the area to get a true feel for the quality of Aganto temporary buildings which in fact are sturdy, robust and durable, often lasting over 15 years, also helped in making the decision.
Aganto sales manager Ian Mackenzie was assigned to manage the project and he quickly understood the problem which was a limited workflow onsite and a real need for extra operational space. Ian suggested a bespoke, flexible, bespoke solution involving multiple temporary buildings. Four temporary buildings were supplied, the biggest being a 20m wide by 20m long by 5.2m high. Three of the buildings were part insulated and one was an insulated building.
Providing four temporary buildings on the same site but with different specifications, demonstrates the flexibility of the Aganto solution, along with the professional expertise of the sales manager.
“Returning to the site after everything was installed gave me such a sense of satisfaction. The initial requirement seemed to expand a little due to Doncasters’ developing needs to include some site consolidation and also a rebuild of an existing, aging bricks & mortar facility. They chose Aganto for our sturdy buildings for the long term – so not temporary whatsoever!”
